Welcome to the Tuscaloosa County Transportation Department. We transport approximately 10,000 students to the schools of Tuscaloosa County. These students board over 182 buses each day. During the 180 days that transportation is provided, the buses travel over two million miles. It is the mission of the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education Transportation Department in accordance with federal, state and local regulations to provide safe and efficient transportation to all students of Tuscaloosa County. This includes transportation to and from school and all school related activities.
