Nick’s Kids Foundation hosts a Teacher Awards Luncheon honoring outstanding teachers in the Tuscaloosa area. As a former teacher herself, Ms. Terry Saban knows the hard work and dedication that these men and women display every day and wants to honor them for their accomplishments in Alabama’s schools. Beth Channell was chosen to be the Myrtlewood Elementary representative. Congratulations Mrs. Channell! You are AWESOME!!!

The Fresh Fruit and Vegetable Program (FFVP) provides all children in participating schools with a variety of free fresh fruits and vegetables throughout the school day. It is an effective and creative way of introducing fresh fruits and vegetables as healthy snack options.
