Time is running out to order a yearbook. They are $60.00. Order forms can be sent to Mr. Newell, with cash or a check, or purchases can be made online with a debit card by clicking here. The final deadline to order is Friday, March 21, 2014.
Congratulations to the Book Fair Student Crew for winning the President's Award for Exceptional Performance in the National Middle School Student Crew Contest. The Book Fair theme was Reading on the Sipsey River Swamp and was held last October. The Crew won $500 for the library. Click here to see a photo of The Crew. We are very proud of them.

Applications for the National Junior Honor Society are now available outside of Ms. B. Tate's classroom door. Only seventh and eighth grade students may apply. If you are interested, return your application to Ms. B. Tate by March 14, 2014. If you were inducted last year, you DO NOT have to apply again this year.
If you are interested in trying out to be a Sipsey Valley cheerleader, you must have an updated physical form from your doctor before tryouts. Tryouts will be held on March 21, 2014, for both high school and middle school. Forms and money for high school are due to Ms. Duncan, and forms and money for middle school is due to Mrs. Calhoun or Mrs. Hall, by Friday, March 7th.
SVMS softball t-shirts are still available in adult small, medium, and large for $10. See Ms. Halbrooks to purchase one.
If you ordered a DVD of the beauty walk, they are available in Mrs. B. Hall's room. If you ordered pictures from the beauty walk, they are available in Mr. Newell's room.
Builders Club and SGA is sponsoring a canned food drive. The Community Soup Bowl is running low and needs to restock their pantry, so our canned goods will be donated to a worthy cause. All canned food items are accepted.
If you completed an auxiliary try-out packet, and are planning to try-out, there is a mandatory meeting in Mrs. Junkin's room tomorrow (Friday) at 8:00 AM.
High school volleyball tryouts will be April 15th and 17th from 3:15-5:00 PM. You must have an updated physical on file in order to participate in tryouts. You must also be present for both days of tryouts. See Coach Wisdom or Coach Klink if you are interested in being on the team.
Builders Club News: If you have not already done so, please pay your dues as soon as possible. Also, as you complete your service hours, please pick up a service hour sheet (located outside Mrs. Calhoun’s classroom door) and return it to her so that your hours can be documented.
