Ahoy Mateys! Students, parents and grandparents are invited to Sipsey Valley's Book FairIt is a great time to purchase gifts and get those gifts wrapped for FREE.

All proceeds go to the SV Library to purchase new books and/or equipment. Last year, Book Fair profits enabled the SV Library to purchase a projector that can be checked out and used by all classes in the middle school and the high school. The Crew is a group of students who donate supplies and help run the Book Fair. Without them, it would not be successful. If you meet a Crew member, please thank them for their volunteer work.

You can shop online now or visit the Book Fair any day November 10 - 16. Click on the pirate ship below for more information. Visitors are asked to please check in with the office to get a visitor's pass before coming to the Book Fair.

Students may visit the Book Fair anytime with a pass from their teacher. However, each grade will visit the Book Fair with their Language Arts or English classes on the following days.

Online Registrion (InfoSnap) - Returning Students

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The Tuscaloosa County School System is excited to announce an online student registration/data validation system for the upcoming school year, powered by InfoSnap. The system is a secure and green process, which allows the district to verify all student demographic, emergency and medical information for your child prior to the start of the new school year. The system will also allow you to electronically sign the annual permission forms for school district policies. In short, this online process replaces all the hard copy student registration and permission forms that your child brings home on the first day of school.

It is now time to fill out the online form. Each returning student (even sixth graders who will attend Sipsey Valley for the first time in 2016/2017, but attended a Tuscaloosa County school last year) should have received a letter with instructions on how to access the system. The letter contains a link/instructions and a secure “snapcode” that links directly to your student’s information. You will create an account, that you will use each year for this process, and submit a form for each student in your family. To make the process easier for families with multiple students, you will have the option to copy all generic family information to all other students in your family.

We would appreciate all families to take action and complete these forms as soon as possible. Your student's registration will not be complete until the forms have been submitted. If you did not receive your letter with your "snapcode," please contact the school office for assistance. Also, if you not have access to the Internet, contact the school office and you can make an appointment to use a school computer to complete the process. If you have any further questions, please contact the school office.
