I am a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa. Growing up in Duncanville, I attended Maxwell Elementary, Hillcrest Middle School, and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2004. After beginning my college career at Shelton State, I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in May 2009. I recently received my graduate degree in the Library Media program at the University of West Alabama. I chose this degree to improve my content knowledge of children's literature as well as to continue to build my skills in the use of technology in the classroom.
As I stated above, I was born in Tuscaloosa and grew up just down in the road in Duncanville. I am very close to my family and value their opinion(s) above all else. Outside of my family life, I enjoy traveling, witty books & TV & movies, music, and spending time with great friends. I love the idea of traveling to places near and far and it is my intention to spend my lifetime seeing the world. I want to know that places and landmarks exist not because I've seen them in pictures or on TV, but because I have been there and experienced them myself!
