I am a lifelong resident of Tuscaloosa. Growing up in Duncanville, I attended Maxwell Elementary, Hillcrest Middle School, and graduated from Hillcrest High School in 2004. After beginning my college career at Shelton State, I received my Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education from the University of Alabama in May 2009. I recently received my graduate degree in the Library Media program at the University of West Alabama. I chose this degree to improve my content knowledge of children's literature as well as to continue to build my skills in the use of technology in the classroom.
As I stated above, I was born in Tuscaloosa and grew up just down in the road in Duncanville. I am very close to my family and value their opinion(s) above all else. Outside of my family life, I enjoy traveling, witty books & TV & movies, music, and spending time with great friends. I love the idea of traveling to places near and far and it is my intention to spend my lifetime seeing the world. I want to know that places and landmarks exist not because I've seen them in pictures or on TV, but because I have been there and experienced them myself! I had the opportunity to go to NYC this summer for the fourth time! It is currently my favorite destination...but there are still many places left to visit! Other tidbits about me: My favorite color is pink. My favorite movie is Elizabethtown. My favorite candy includes: Sour Patch Kids, Raisinets, and Circus Peanuts. Any other questions - feel free to ask me!
