Brookwood High School

Welcome to the Brookwood High School Library!

Mrs. Janet Sanford, the librarian, is always available and happy to assist you in any way!
Faculty, students, and parents are always welcome to use the library's resources. There are more than 20 computers, thousands of books, many magazines, and the newspaper to use as resources for research or pleasure.

The library is open every weekday from 7:20 a.m. until 3:15 p.m.  Students may also come in during Break and Lunch.  Mrs. Sanford will be happy to stay after school if arrangements are made.  All you have to do is ask!

The IVC Lab (Internet Video Conferencing) is housed in the library.  The small business class is broadcast to a West End High School classroom in north central Alabama.  The fish/wildlife class is broadcast to R.C. Hatch High School in Perry county.

ACCESS classes are also held in the library.  These classes are independent elective courses taken via internet/distance learning.

The library circulation system includes WebPath Express, a SAFE, educationally sound search engine.  In addition, the AVL (Alabama Virtual Library) is a vast source of information for research purposes.  Both can be accessed in the library or at home!  Go to  or http://avl.lib.al.us and https://destiny.tcss.net to find out more!
