I expect the best from your children because I believe they are the best. That being said, nobody is perfect (especially me) and I understand mistakes will occur from time to time. Second rgade has the difficult task of cementing reading skills where kids become fluent enough to focus on comprehension in third grade. We expect kids to start taking more of a role in writing down their homework, keeping track of notes, turning in assignments on time, and generally becoming more resposible. It is a challenging time as your precious children are growing into being the 'bigger' kids in elementary school. Ms. Robbins, Mrs. Morris, Mrs. Cameron, Mrs. Daggert and I take the guidance of our students very seriously and have high standards because we want your children to succeed. Please encourage your children to talk to you about their school day, share their assignments, and make sure they are reading and studying an appropriate amount of time each night.
