BIOMy name is Susan Davis and I teach first and second grade Reading Intervention at Taylorville Primary. This year I will begin my 18th year of teaching. I am married to Sam Davis and we have two boys, Spencer and Seth. Sam works at Mercedes-Benz as a Mechanical Engineer. Spencer attends Duncanville Middle School and Seth attends Englewood Elementary. I graduated Hillcrest High School in 1998. I attended Shelton State Community College and then transferred to the University of Alabama and graduated in December 2002. After graduation I began teaching fourth grade at Buhl Elementary in January 2003. In August 2003, I began teaching first grade. After teaching first grade at Buhl, the following year I began teaching first grade at Vance Elementary. I taught first grade at Vance Elementary for six years. In August 2009, I became the Reading Intervention teacher for K-5 then the following year for K-2. After five years of teaching intervention I became the Instructional Coach for Vance Elementary. I am now so very blessed to teach at TPS!!!
A few of my favorite things are spending time with my family, reading, exercising, playing with our family dog Luna, and watching Spencer play baseball and Seth play soccer.
