I'm Mrs. Harding! I'm originally from the small town of Hamilton, AL. I grew up in a small town but came to LOVE Tuscaloosa and never want to leave! In December of 2011, I graduated from The University of Alabama with honors. I earned my Bachelor's degree majoring in Elementary Education. I'm currently pursuing a Master's degree in Elementary Education from UWA. While attending college at UA, I met my husband Matt. We have been married for 8 years and have two beautiful children, Avery Kate(6 yrs) and Hudson (4 yrs). We also have a chocolate lab named Tyde that we love spending time with! During my spare time, I like to spend time with family and friends, run, go shopping with AK, watch all Alabama athletics- Roll Tide!! , travel, and be anywhere near water!
This will be my 8th year of teaching and I'm just excited for this class as I was my very first class! I taught fourth grade in Irvington, AL at Anna Booth Elementary in the Mobile County School System for 4 years and this wlll be my fourth year at Englewood in 5th grade! I absolutely love my Englewood family and I couldn't have asked for a better place to be teaching here in Tuscaloosa. I can't wait to have another amazing year with wonderful students! Teaching is such a huge part of my life and I value every one of my students and their precious families. One of my most favorite things about my career is the lasting relationships that are formed. Teaching is the most rewarding profession and I couldn't imagine doing anything else. It is my passion and I love coming to work every day! I honestly believe that teachers who love to teach will teach their students to love learning. Although we don't know exactly how this year will go, we will navigate it together and do the absolute best we can! I can't wait to start year 8!
