Hi! My Name is Mrs. Amber White and I will be your child’s 1st grade teacher for the 2020-2021 school year. I am originally from Sulligent, Alabama but moved to Tuscaloosa for college in 2011 and have never left. I am married to my high school sweetheart, Adam, and we love living in Tuscaloosa!  I enjoy traveling & being with friends and family. This will be my fourth year at TPS & I am so excited to make it the best year yet! I cannot wait to meet you all and form lasting relationships that will make for a successful year. First grade is such a fun and exciting year; however, it is also a year full of learning. It is my hope and mission to morph those two into one and make learning both fun and meaningful.

In May 2015, I graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Early Childhood Special Education (PreK-3rd Grade General Education and Birth-8 Years Special Education) from The University of Alabama. In May 2017, I graduated from UA for the 2nd time with a Master’s Degree in Counselor Education: School Counseling.
