Howdy, guys! I'm a Native Texan and a proud graduate of The University of Alabama. I've been in the corporate world for over thirty years and finally found my way to my dream job, teaching! I have a degree in Interdisciplinary Business Management with experience in manufacturing with Brooks Brothers and Falcon Industries and retail with several companies including Neiman Marcus and Macys.
My first three years were fun, so now we head into year 4! I was a substitute teacher for a couple of years and found that I wanted to teach middle school and we are at a GREAT school!
I taught 6th grade Math before this year and this year it's on to 8th grade Math and Algebra!
My wife of thirty-four years currently works at Shepherd University and my son recently graduated in Geographic Information Systems at Auburn University at Montgomery and played for the Warhawks and Shelton State Bucs baseball teams as a pitcher and currently works for AT&T.
I love working with kids. I was involved with Little League Baseball as a coach, board member, and umpire for over twenty years. I had the great honor of being a Southeast Regional Umpire in 2010. Beware my cooking, I make Tex-Mex, Tex-Ital, Tex-Chi, and, recently, Tex-Thai dishes, but I also like Cajun food and Dreamland is my favorite barbeque.
Together, we can make this a great experience.
