Hello! My name is Brittney Oden, and I love teaching! Each day is a new adventure where we learn and grow together. This is my ninth year at Englewood. I taught fourth grade for 7 years and am looking forward to my second year in third grade!
I grew up in White Plains, a small town (especially compared to Tuscaloosa) about 2 hours northeast of here. I graduated from Jacksonville State University in 2007 with a degree in Elementary Education.
Mr. Oden and I have been married for 5 years. We have a very active two year old that keeps us smiling and on our toes! We love cheering for Alabama (Roll Tide!), playing card/board games, beating each other in putt-putt, having picnics, and taking trips to the beach. We love spending time with family and simply enjoying life together!
I look forward to each new year as students come in and grow together as a family! I have high expectations for my students academically, and I expect them to show great character inside and outside the classroom. We put the 7 habits into practice and strive to become the best LEADERS we can be! In our class, every person is valuable. We each have strengths that we contribute daily to make our class uniquely great!
