Calculus AB, Advanced Placement
Advanced Placement (AP) Calculus is a college-level course that follows the guidelines of The College Board. AP Calculus fulfills the requirements of a first semester college calculus class. It introduces differential and integral calculus. Topics covered include limits, continuity, differentiation and applications, integration and applications, and curve sketching. The workload in this class requires students to work at an accelerated pace. Students are required to pay the fee for the College Board examination prior to the examination date scheduled in May. Students receive 1.0 extra quality point for successfully completing this course. Students must take the College Board’s AP exam for weighted credit.
Prerequisite: Pre-Calculus or Honors/Pre-AP Pre-Calculus
