Flatwoods Elementary School teacher Lindsey Hall will appear as a contestant on "Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?" on Monday, June 10 at 6 p.m. on Nickelodeon. 

Miss Hall has been a third grade teacher at Flatwoods for five years. Next year, she will move to fifth grade. Miss Hall also attended Flatwoods when she was in elementary school.

She applied for the show after seeing a Facebook post seeking contestants, and still cannot believe she was selected. "What really caught their attention was how I am now a teacher at the school I attended as a child, and how I teach in my former fifth grade classroom," Miss Hall said. "They really enjoyed the fact I will be teaching fifth grade next year, as well."

"The entire experience was everything I imagined it would be and so much more. The cast and crew members were so welcoming. It really helped to ease my nerves through the taping process."
