• I am so excited to be a new member of the Brookwood Panther community this year. The 2019-2020 school year is my sixth year teaching. I grew up in Chattanooga, TN and earned my bachelor's degree in physics from The University of Alabama in 2014. I am currently completing coursework for my Master's degree in Secondary Education at the University of Montevallo. I live in Hoover with my husband of four years, and we have a little boy who will be turning three in September.

I love working with high school students to develop the mathematical and reasoning skills that they will need to excel later in life. Even students who believe that they are not good at math are capable of thriving if given the tools to learn. I believe that every student learns differently, and every student deserves to be given the best possible opportunity to succeed. In my classroom, I enjoy using more unconventional and student-centered teaching methods such as project-based learning over the traditional lecture/homework approach.

Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions or concerns! I truly enjoy working together with students and parents to help my students forge a path toward success.
