Information on Masks
-
View the current health order, by proclamation of the Governor of Alabama, for full information on mask requirements.
Under the current order, facial coverings are required for faculty and staff, and any student second grade and above, at all times within six feet of a person from another household.
TCSS encourages students below second grade to wear masks if possible, but this is not required under the health order.
Any visitors permitted into the building will be required to wear a mask. Visitors into our buildings are extremely limited, and are allowed into our buildings by appointment only.
Exceptions for wearing facial coverings, as noted in the health order, include:
- Any person with a medical condition or disability that prevents him or her from wearing a facial covering.
- Any person who is seeking to communicate with another person where the ability to see the person’s mouth is essential for communication, such as when the other person has a hearing impairment.
