TCSS Promotes "BRAVE" Bullying Prevention Initiative

  • October 5, 2020

October marks National Bullying Prevention Month. All month long, TCSS schools are participating in activities that promote a culture of kindness and encourage students to stand up and speak out against bullying. TCSS also continues to promote BRAVE, a bullying prevention initiative introduced last year. BRAVE stands for Building Responsibility, Acceptance, Voice, Empowerment.

BRAVE is based on effective collaboration where students are proactive participants, and parents, educators, and communities are involved stakeholders to remove harrassment. When all parties become involved stakeholders against bullying, this promotes positive culture change. Giving students a voice and making them part of the process empowers them to create sustainable change.

    BRAVE Objectives

To empower students with the tools necessary to make socially-responsible decisions and create sustainable change.

To empower students and stakeholders with the knowledge to address the many issues related to bullying and cyberbullying.

To engage in discussions about best practices to address issues related to bullying and cyberbullying.

Learn more about BRAVE and bullying prevention measures in the Student Services section of our web site.
