December 3, 2020: An Update from the Office of the Superintendent

  • December 3, 2020

From the Office of the Superintendent

We hope our students, families, and educators had a restful Thanksgiving break. As we move into December, we're looking forward to completing the final few weeks of the semester. As we have shared with you throughout this school year, it is the goal of the Tuscaloosa County School System to keep our schools open for in-person instruction, and we are working to make that happen. We ask our entire TCSS community to be extremely vigilant about practicing healthy habits that fight the spread of COVID-19 and other illnesses. Your help is essential in keeping our schools open for on-campus instruction.

In this time of uncertainty, rumors and misinformation can spread quickly. We ask you to follow official sources of information from the Tuscaloosa County School System, such as our TCSS web site and phone calls and text messages directly from the school system. When we have an important message, we use those methods to communicate directly with you.

Below you can find links to other COVID-19 related updates from our school system. Our last day of the semester will be Friday, December 18. We are thankful for the hard work of our students, families, and educators during this challenging year, and we look forward to completing these final few weeks of the semester.
