Congratulations to Mrs. Sylvia Tilley! This month, Mrs. Tilley celebrates 50 years as a bus driver with TCSS. Not only has Mrs. Tilley served our students since 1971, but she has driven for Buhl Elementary for all of those years. Mrs. Tilley was recently honored at the TCSS Transportation Department and at a Board of Education meeting. Mrs. Tilley received resolutions in recognition of her service from Governor Kay Ivey and Alabama Secretary of State John Merrill.

"We are honored to celebrate 50 years of service with Mrs. Tilley as a Tuscaloosa County Bus Driver," TCSS Coordinator of Transportation Craig Henson said.

"What an amazing accomplishment! Without a doubt, Mrs. Tilley has made a positive impact on thousands of students’ lives in the Buhl area throughout her 50 years of driving Bus 16. May we all strive to emulate her consistency, dedication, and loyalty to the students of the Tuscaloosa County School System!"

"Mrs. Tilley provides far more than just reliable transportation for her riders and places emphasis on the values of accountability, compassion and empathy," Governor Ivey said in her commendation of Mrs. Tilley's service.

Congratulations to Mrs. Tilley and thank you for your fifty years of service to our students!
