Tuesday, March 9: ACT for 11th Graders, E-Learning Day for 9th, 10th, & 12th Graders

  • Updated March 2, 2021

On Tuesday, March 9, 2021, TCSS 11th graders, both on-campus and remote learners, will take the ACT at school. This day will be an E-Learning Day for TCSS high school students (9th, 10th, and 12th grade students) not taking the ACT on that day. The E-Learning Day does not apply to elementary and middle school students. The E-Learning Day is necessary to provide social distancing for students who are testing. More classrooms will be needed, as well as more staff to monitor the additional testing rooms.

Schools will provide more information to 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students who will be participating in the E-Learning Day.

Students taking the ACT will report to their schools at the normal morning reporting time. This includes on-campus and remote learners. Buses will run their normal morning routes to pick up students who will be testing.

Once testing concludes, students taking the ACT will be able to sign out and continue their learning at home, if the parent/guardian has provided permission to the school for the student to leave campus. Schools will communicate sign out procedures. Afternoon bus routes will run at their normal times. Therefore, students who be using bus transportation to get home will continue their learning for the day at school, until normal afternoon bus routes begin. Carry-out lunches will be available. Schools will provide more information about meals.

If you have further questions about the E-Learning Day or ACT testing, please contact your school.
