TCSS High Schools to Move to Block Schedule for 2021-2022 School Year

  • February 2, 2021

At its most recent meeting, the Tuscaloosa County Board of Education approved block schedule for all TCSS high schools for the upcoming school year.

TCSS high school principals discussed the topic with the Board at a December Board work session. Benefits of block schedule discussed at the work session include greater project-based learning opportunities during the school day, more career technical education opportunities for students, and increased possibilities for credit recovery during the school year.

As we move toward course selection and scheduling for the upcoming school year, administrators at each high school will provide more information to students and families regarding block schedule.
