Welcome!

As BWES Library Media Specialist, I would like to introduce myself.  Over the course of the past 20+ years I have been an aide, classroom teacher and now Librarian. What an exciting journey it has been.  BUT I've got a long way to go and more things I would like to do in my career. Accomplishing goals has always been a major part of my life.  Last year, with the encouragement of a fabulous faculty, I earned my National Board Teacher Certificate. I enjoyed it so much I have started working on my Ed.S. I also ran Tuscaloosa Half Marathon... yes that is a full 13.1 miles trough the beautiful city of Tuscaloosa and campus of the University of Alabama... I'm a Tide fan and alumnus.  My husband and I travel to enjoy races all over the state of Alabama. Sometimes my grown children join us in our adventures.  He even qualified to run the Boston Marathon.  He is an encourager and inspiration to continue forward in running. The best place to run is the beach.  You'll find me there every chance I get... probably because its flat.
