October 6, 2021: E-Learning Day for Grades 9 & 11, State Testing for Grades 10 & 12

  • September 29, 2021

On Wednesday, October 6, 2021, TCSS students in grades 10 and 12 will participate in state assessments during the school day. Students in grade 10 will take the PreACT, and students in grade 12 will take the ACT WorkKeys.

This day will be an E-Learning Day for TCSS students in grades 9 and 11. This applies to students only in these grades, and does not affect elementary or middle school students. Schools will provide more information to 9th and 11th graders about assignments for the E-Learning Day.

The E-Learning Day is necessary to provide additional space for students who are testing. More classrooms will be needed, as well as more staff to monitor the additional testing rooms.

10th and 12th grade students will report to their schools at the normal morning reporting time. Buses will run their normal morning routes.

Once testing concludes, 10th and 12th grade students will be able to sign out and continue their learning at home, if the parent/guardian has provided permission to the school for the student to leave campus. Schools will communicate sign-out procedures. Afternoon bus routes will run at their normal times. Students who be using bus transportation to get home will continue their learning for the day at school, until normal afternoon bus routes begin. Carry-out lunches will be available. Schools will provide more information about meals.

If you have further questions about the E-Learning Day or testing, please contact your school.
