TCSS Students, Families, Faculty, and Staff

We know most everyone is aware of the shooting and loss of life that happened yesterday at a school in Texas. As an extra measure of support for our schools, we will have additional Tuscaloosa County Sheriff's deputies at all of our campuses today.

We know seeing the news in Texas is difficult and upsetting for many of us, including our children. We encourage any members of our TCSS family to reach out to your school counselor, social worker, or other staff member at your school, if you are struggling, or just need to talk. If you know someone who needs help, please reach out to them or talk to someone at your school who can connect them with the resources they need. Also, there are links below to information and resources in our community for mental health support.

    Sincerely,

    Keri C. Johnson, Ed.D.
