2022-2023 Meal Benefits Applications & Updates on School Meals

  • July 8, 2022

As we prepare for the upcoming school year, we encourage all of our TCSS families to complete the Application for Meal Benefits. Filling out this application provides free or reduced-price meals for students who qualify, and it also helps provide funding for other programs and services that are very important to our schools. Please take a moment to complete the application, so our schools do not miss out on resources that enhance our educational programs.

As you may have heard in national news reports, the federal government has not extended the program that allowed all students to eat school meals at no charge for the past two school years. Therefore, TCSS schools must return to charging for meals served in our schools. Due to the increase in food costs since the 2019-2020 school year, which was the last time TCSS had to charge for meals served in our schools, we have had to increase our meal prices for the upcoming school year.
