Congratulations to our TCSS leaders who recently took the stage at the 2023 Model Schools Conference, hosted by the International Center for Leadership in Education! Educators from across the United States and beyond come to Model Schools to hear from colleagues who are putting innovative strategies to work in their schools.

 

TCSS Director of Accountability Jackie Hudgins, Coordinator of Mental Health Services Angela Kelly, and Superintendent Dr. Keri Johnson led a session on supporting the social and emotional well-being of educators. “What About the Adults in the Building?” shared our district's 2022-2023 administrator professional development focus on social-emotional awareness and wellness for educators. This included fun themes for administrator meetings (scroll through the pictures to see the creativity the themes brought out in our administrators), as well as opportunities for deeper reflection on the importance of social and emotional wellness for school leaders. And the themes were such a hit with our administrators, our presenters carried this into their Model Schools session!
