Hi, I'm Melinda Allen Marshall, a teacher in the fourth and fifth grades. I serve students and support teachers through resource and inclusion. I have been a teacher for twenty-one years. My undergraduate degree, in Elementary Education, was earned at Florida State University, but I am a Tuscaloosa girl, and returned to the University of Alabama where I received my masters degree in the field of special education. I worked in Fayette County for two years and in Jefferson County (at McAdory Elementary) for eleven years. I have been with Lake View for the last eight years, ever since it opened. Lake View has amazing students, parents, and staff. I am proud that my own children have attended Lake View; I have a daughter entering eighth grade and a daughter entering fifth grade. I believe that every student has his/her own potential and talents, and should be challenged to develop them to the fullest. I beleive that parents, teachers, and students should form an effective, cooperative team to make that happen!
