Westwood Elementary School

Home of the Gators

  • Hello Westwood Families,

This message is for parents/guardians of remote learners. If your child is utilizing the remote learning option, please read this email in its entirety. The time has come for you to select your option for learning for the 2nd 9 weeks. Will you remain remote or choose to return to physical school? This information may help you. Westwood has been very fortunate to not have any positive COVID results in students that we are aware of. Our faculty and staff have been diligent in maintaining social distancing, encouraging students to wear masks, and sanitizing regularly. While we respect your decision for learning, we strongly encourage you to come back to learning in the physical school setting. TCSS will be adjusting the remote learning platforms beginning 2nd 9 weeks. TCSS will be using the Edgenuity learning platform for remote learning beginning 2nd 9 weeks. The survey link included in this email gives you the option to choose if your student will remain a remote learner or if you will be returning to the physical school setting. The survey deadline is Monday, September 28th. Please make sure to read the acknowledgement statements that will be strongly enforced for remote learners going forward. I hope many of you choose to come back to the physical school setting! Survey Link: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/TCSSremotelearners

    Best,
    Mrs. Jackson

  • It is with great excitement and many thanks we announce that Westwood Elementary has begun the Track Restoration project! We would like to personally thank Mr. Reginald Murray, County Commissioner, and his team of County Engineers with the support and monetary help to begin this project. We would also like to thank the families, community members, and Coker Town Council for their donations toward this project. We hope the new track will offer a pleasurable outdoor experience for all the community including the Westwood Gator family!
