TCSS Special Education Department will destroy the special education records of students who were born in the year 1998. Records may be obtained by contacting Kim McGhee at (205) 342-2775 no later than June 10, 2024.

The Tuscaloosa County School System has immediate opportunities for bus drivers and bus aides. TCSS provides all training needed, so that you can successfully earn your Class B CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, and your State of Alabama School Bus Operator’s Certificate. We also provide training for those wanting to be a bus aide. 

TCSS students at 2024 Spring Games

Congratulations to everyone who played a role in making TCSS Spring Games 2024 a success! Over two days, Spring Games brings together students, faculty, and staff from across our county.

The TCSS Fine Arts Showcase is Friday, March 1, at the Dinah Washington Cultural Arts Center in Downtown Tuscaloosa. Aside from the visual art on display, there will be musical performances from students. The artwork will remain in the gallery space throughout the month of May.

Congratulations to our athletes who competed in the TCSS Rhythmic Gymnastics Event! Students from across the county participated in a variety of Special Olympics events, and some of the athletes will be moving on to the state competition in May.
