Board Names New Chief School Financial Officer

At the March 26 Board of Education meeting, the Board announced the selection of Sherry Langley as the new Chief School Financial Officer (CSFO) for TCSS. Mrs. Langley will begin her role with TCSS on July 1.

Mrs. Langley currently serves as CFSO for Muscle Shoals City Schools. She has been in that role since 2019. Prior to serving in Muscle Shoals, she served as CSFO for Tuscumbia City Schools and Lauderdale County Schools. She also worked in the finance office for Athens City Schools.

In the announcement of Mrs. Langley's selection, Board of Education President Joey Hocutt noted Mrs. Langley's experience in school finance and that she is well-qualified to serve in this critical role for TCSS.

Tina Bolt, who is retired after CSFO service with several school systems, is currently serving as Interim TCSS CSFO. TCSS has been searching for its next Chief School Financial Officer since former CSFO Mason Primm left for a new opportunity at the end of 2025.
