Hello, my name is Teresa Junkin, and I am a 2nd grade teacher. I have lived most of my life in Tuscaloosa. I am married to a wonderful, patient, and easy-going husband named Barry. His favorite past time is riding or working on his Harley. We have two daughters and one son. Our oldest, Jessica who is 30 years old, is an Assistant Court Administrator during the weekdays, and a big time antiquer on the weekends. Austin is in his final semester of Industrial Electronics Technology at Shelton State and works as a mechanic at Bowlero. Our youngest, Madison who is 20 years old, is a busy PCA at both DCH and Northport Hospital. She is in the nursing program at Shelton and looks forward to graduating next year.
This is my 31st year of teaching for the Tuscaloosa County System. My teaching career began at Holt Elementary in second grade. After 13 years at Holt, I transferred to Brookwood Elementary to teach first grade for one year and then looped up to second grade where I taught an additional five years. I was thrilled when the opportunity arose to teach at Lake Elementary where I have been since the doors opened. I feel very blessed to be able to teach in my favorite grade (second grade) at such a great school.
