Hi There! My name is Lesley McIntosh and this is my 12th year overall teaching and my 11th year at Myrtlewood. I absolutely love teaching in Fosters and wouldn’t trade it for anything. The kids, faculty, and parents are GREAT! My husband and I live in Northport, AL .I am originally from Fayette, AL and graduated high school in 1999. Upon my graduation from high school, I attended Faulkner University for one semester before I transferred to The University of Alabama. I absolutely loved my time at UA and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Education in 2004. I taught for a couple of years and then decided to return to school to pursue my masters degree. I graduated from The University of West Alabama in 2007 with a Masters of Arts in Special Education, K-6.My husband is from Coker, AL and went through the Tuscaloosa County School System. He is now employed as a Northport Police Officer. We met in 2007 and in November 2008 we were married. We have had child (our dog, Bailey) for all of our married lives; HOWEVER, on December 15, 2014, we welcomed our sweet, precious angel babies into our lives. We have been blessed with twins, a boy and a girl, named Tanner and Emersyn "Emry". We have had the BEST time with them. They are so full of personality. Tanner is very laid back and such an inquisitive little boy. And, Emry is full of joy...she is always smiling, laughing, and into something. We are actively involved in our church, North River Church in Tuscaloosa. In my spare time (there isn't much of that anymore, lol), I love to read, swim, spend time with my family, travel anywhere, and most importantly watch Alabama sports. I am an avid Crimson Tide fan, especially football. In the fall, you used to find me either in Bryant-Denny stadium on Saturdays; however, these days I will be cheering on the Tide from in front of the television! I am beyond blessed to be teaching your children and so enjoy having them for the next 2-4 years. I am very much looking forward to a great year! If you ever need me, please do not hesitate to call the school and schedule a conference.
