Hello!  I have been teaching at Northside Middle School since 2006 and I am still very excited to be a part of the Northside family!

Before coming to NMS I taught at Holt High School and Matthews Elementary. Prior to that I worked with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers with special needs and their parents through Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind and Community Service Programs of West AL Early Intervention. I also had the privilege of working at the R.I.S.E. program as a teacher's aide while in college. Other experience includes teaching dance, bible school, and serving as the Danceline coach at Holt for 7 years, during which time my squads won several prestigious awards.

The answer to the most frequently asked question is "No, I did not go to County High."

I graduated from Cardinal Mooney High School in Sarasota, Florida. Being born in Tampa I am one of those rarities known as a "native Floridian".   My husband Scott is an assistant principal at a local high school.  We have 3 children who keep us very busy with college (Go Bama!), football & baseball (GO RAMS!), and competitive dance company (Go ABJ Energy!). We are also active members of Holy Spirit Church, where we assist with the Community Soup Bowl, and I serve as a Eucharistic Minister. We enjoy going out on the lake, going to the beach, and Alabama Football. When I do have free time (ha, ha) I enjoy indulging in my obsession for all things Disney, including our annual trips to Walt Disney World.
