    Biography:
My name is Wendy Chapman Herndon.  I am from Northport, Alabama.  I attended Faucett-Vestavia Elementary, Collins-Riverside Middle School and graduated from Wilcox Academy in Camden, Alabama.  After high school, I went on to play softball for Shelton State and Ohio University.  I then returned to Alabama and met and married my husband, Jay.  My husband is a cattle farmer and works at running our family cattle farm.  We have two children.  Our daughter Jaymie is a 2012 graduate of TCHS and is married to Jeremy Tisdale and works at Taylorville Primary.  We love spending time and spoiling our grandsons, Grayson "Gray" James, and Griffin "Griff" Ryan. Our son Caleb is a 2016 TCHS graduate and attended Shelton State on a full scholarship from the Nucor Technical Academy program.  He finished with an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Technology degree and a welding degree in May 2019 and is employed with Nucor Steel of Tuscaloosa and owns his own excavating business. We live in the Big Sandy/Moundville community and are active members of Valley View Baptist Church.  I enjoy spending time with my family, spending time at the beach, scrapbooking, and watching and attending sporting events.  I am in my sixteenth year at County High.  Before coming here, I taught and coached at American Christian Academy for ten years.  I love being at Tuscaloosa County High and working with the students here.  I hope to teach and coach here until I retire.  Go Wildcats!
