My name is Susan Copen. This is my 28th year of teaching math at Brookwood High School.   I currently teach Algebra with Finance, Pre-Calculus, and AP Calculus.

 

I graduated from Tuscaloosa County High School in 1990.  I earned my B.S. degree in Secondary Ed. Math from the University of Alabama in May, 1994.  I completed my M.A in Secondary Ed. Math in May , 1998.  I am currently taking some graduate classes at UA, working towards an Ed.S. in Secondary Ed. Math, as part of the A-Plus in Math Fellowship Program.  I am also in the process of pursuing National Board Certification in Young Adult Mathematics.
