
Mr. Strickland was born in Tuscaloosa, Alabama and graduated from Hillcrest High School. He attended and received degrees from both Auburn University and The University of Alabama. Mr. Strickland earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Science from Auburn University in 1999, a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from The University of Alabama in 2011, and an Educational Specialist Degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Alabama in 2013. During his 21 year career as a teacher and administrator, he has taught both Science and Career Tech classes. Mr. Strickland is married and is the father of three young children. He is a member of several professional organizations, including the Alabama Association of Secondary School Principals (AASSP), National Science Teachers Association (NSTA), Alabama Education Association (AEA), and the Council of Leaders in Alabama Schools (CLAS). Mr. Strickland is extremely honored to be a part of the tradition of excellence here at Brookwood Middle School in the Tuscaloosa County School System. He is excited to work with faculty and staff to carry on this tradition and improve the educational experience for our students.
