I absolutely love people and I love the Hillcrest Community! Leadership has been an exciting journey for me, which is why you will always see me smiling. My experience includes 10 years teaching mathematics at Brookwood High School and 5 years as an Assistant Principal at Davis-Emerson Middle School, both in Tuscaloosa County. I hold a Mathematics degree from Stillman College and a Master's in Instructional Leadership from the University of Phoenix. Recently, I completed an Ed.S. in Instructional Leadership from the University of West Alabama. I am proud to be a part of the first cohort for the Doctoral Program of Rural Education from the Universtiy of West Alabama (finishing May 2021).
I am happily married to John Davis and we have two children, Zoie and Zaya. We are active in our community and enjoy spending time with our other kids - the students at HMS! Be sure to wave and speak when you see us out and about!
I firmly believe in building positive relationships and teaching strong academics! The two work hand-in-hand. We want our students to be full of knowledge and to be good people. Character education is crucial in the foundation of learning for every student. We are PATS - we are proactive, we are accepting, we are teachable and we are successful!
