The purpose of the Hillcrest Middle School National Junior Honor Society shall be to create an enthusiasm for scholarship, to stimulate a desire to render service, to promote worthy leadership and citizenship, and to encourage the development of character in students of Hillcrest Middle School.
Candidates eligible for this chapter must be a second semester seventh grader enrolled at Hillcrest Middle School for one semester. Candidates shall have a minimum cumulative grade point average of 90% in all core classes and no grades below 70%. Upon meeting the grade level attendance, behavior requirements, and GPA standard requirements candidates shall then be considered based on their service, leadership, citizenship, and character.
Tapping typically occurs in April or May with an induction ceremony following there after.
