I graduated from the University of Alabama in 1993.  My first teaching job was at Brookwood Elementary.  I taught third grade most of my years there, and also taught fourth grade for one year.  When Brookwood Middle opened, I jumped at the opportunity to teach middle school children!  I have been at Brookwood Middle since it opened, and wouldn't want to teach anywhere else!  The Brookwood community is very special to me!

 

   I live in Tuscaloosa with my husband, Joey, and our dogs, Lou, Piper, and Baker.  My son, Cade, also lives in Tuscaloosa, and we all enjoy going to the lake, kayaking, and fishing (even our dogs have lifevests)!

 

 

Periodically, I write concert reviews for a local newspaper which allows me to combine my love of live music and writing.   I also enjoy gardening, cooking (really anything "foodie"), reading, and watching Alabama Crimson Tide football!!! I sure hope we get to do that this year!

 

  This year will be very different.  I will continue to teach English 6 and Creative Expressions both face to face and remotely.
