Mrs. Shenita Allen
The youngest of three girls, wife and mother, I am a native of Tuscaloosa, Alabama. My childhood education was completed in the Tuscaloosa City School System. As a child, I aspired to become a teacher. I desired to be involved in a professional field that would afford me the opportunity to positively impact the lives of others. After graduating high school, I attended the University of Alabama (Roll Tide!!) and acquired a BS and MA in Early Childhood and Elementary Education. Cottondale Elementary School's faculty and staff have been my extended family since January of 1998. I could not ask to be associated with a more dedicated and supportive group of educators.
My husband, Cyrus, and I have been married for 20 years. Our only child, CJ, is a student at the University of Alabama. He fills our lives with so much joy. My family is the center of my world!
