    Education
I attended the city school system here in Tuscaloosa. I graduated from Central High in 1992. I left home and went to college in Huntsville, Alabama. I attended Alabama A&M University. I received my Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education in 1996. I graduated with honors.  I am currently attending the University of West Alabama pursuing my Masters in School Counseling.

    Experience
I have only taught at one school, Cottondale.  I have enjoyed the past 19 years.  I've taught 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, in that order.

    Bio

I was born and raised in Tuscaloosa. My family did live in St. Louis for a few years. My mother is Brenda Burke(Warren) and my father is George Odum(Marilyn). They both still live in driving distance. I have two sisters, Kim and Kristina(Michael) and one brother, George Jr (Shanell). My sister youngest sister, Kristina lives in Sacramento, California. I miss her alot but I enjoy visiting the west coast to see her.

I am married to my long time sweetheart, AJ.  We actually met in the sixth grade. We have two beautiful daughters, Raina and Gabrielle.

Raina Mackenzie was born November 28, 2000. She was born less than a week after Thanksgiving, so she's my turkey baby. Raina is an 11th grader. She is a competitive cheerleader.  We travel all over the south with her competing.  She's pretty good too, if I do say so myself.

Gabrielle Karrie was born October 9, 2001. She was suppose to be born about the same day as Raina but she couldn't wait and came in to this world seven week early. She was healthy and almost five pounds so it wasn't such a bad thing. The doctor's said she would have been a really big baby. Gabby is an 11th grader also because she actually skipped kindergarten.  She is  a musician.  She was taught the flute in school but taught herself to play the keyboard and the clarinet.

I enjoy reading and writing poetry. I love to read my poetry aloud. One day I plan to have all my best poems bound together as a book and try to get a book deal. (Dreams). I also like to shoot pool and horseback ride. My mother and stepfather have 15 horses and I love them all. They have 2 Tennessee Walkers and 13 Draft Horses.

I also enjoy vintage cars.  I love the smell of the exhaust and rumble of the motor. My husband and I have a 1970 Chevy Monte Carlo and a 1972 Chevy Chevelle.  I inherited my love for cars from my dad.  He has been building and restoring cars for as long as I can remember.  He has a 1970 Monte Carlo.  His love for cars rubbed off on my mom too.  She has a 1978 Chevy Corvette.  Not to mention that my brother has a 1984 Chevy C-10 and my sister, Kristina, and her husband have a 1970 Chevy Chevelle.  I think if we put all our cars together, we could easily have our own car show.
