Bachelor's Degree from University of Alabama: Early Childhood/Elementary Education (Pre-K thru 6th) and Reading Intervention (K-12th)
I graduated from the University of West Alabama in 2006, and have been teaching ever since. I started my teaching career at Wilson Hall Middle School in Grovehill, Alabama as a PE Teacher, Reading Interventionist, and the Volleyball Coach at Clarke County High School. I was very fortunate to play in the State Finals (Sweet 16) my very first year as a Head Coach. I followed my husband’s coaching career a few years later to Sulligent, AL where I became the Reading Interventionist for K-3rd grades, followed by a 5th Grade classroom teacher. My husband and I then decided to move closer to family and our dream home on Lake Tuscaloosa where we currently reside. After moving to Tuscaloosa I began working at Tuscaloosa Academy as a 2nd grade teacher and Head Volleyball Coach. I then made my move to Davis Emerson Middle where I currently teach 6th grade Math as well as Career Tech classes at Davis Emerson. I have been fortunate enough to teach in a place where my skills are not only needed, but appreciated.
In November of 1999, I married Ronnie Hubbert, who is currently a teacher at Northside High School where he also serves as an assistant football coach, asisistant softball coach, and Head girl’s basketball coach.
I am the mother of a bright, talented young man, Carr Hubbert. He is a 9th grader at Northside High School. He loves basketball and is proud to be a Northside Ram.
