I was born and raised in Fayette, AL. It’s a small town about one hour north of Tuscaloosa. I lived in Fayette with my mom, dad, and brother until I graduated High School in 2007. I have always loved school and working with children. After much thought and consideration I felt led to pursue a career in education. I moved to Florence, AL to attend the University of North Alabama. I graduated in December of 2011 with a Bachelor's degree in Elementary Education.
After my college graduation I moved to Talladega, AL to work at a camp. That's where I met my husband, Mr. Castleberry. We got married on July 26, 2013. Soon after our wedding, we moved to Selma, AL where I taught fourth grade for two years.
Mr. Castleberry and I moved from Selma to Tuscaloosa in July 2015. I began working at Cottondale in August 2015. I taught first grade for 3 years. This year I am teaching second grade. I know this is going to be a wonderful school year and I am looking forward to our learning adventure in second grade.
