    Jason Bonner is currently in his thirteenth year of teaching in the Tuscaloosa County School System. He is currently in his sixth year of teaching at Duncanville Middle School and has previously taught at Hillcrest Middle School (Choir and Broadcasting) and Faucett-Vestavia Elementary School (General Music).
     
    At Duncanville, Mr. Bonner teaches Choir I, II, and III; Photography; Intro to Media; and Eagles Media - the school's main broadcasting and media production class responsible for producing daily content for the school's social media channels, Eagles Morning News (Duncanville Middle's daily live morning announcements), and Eagles TV (a monthly long-form news and entertainment show).
     
    Originally from Buhl, Alabama, Mr. Bonner has received a Master of Arts degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from the University of West Alabama (December 2020), a Master of Music degree in Music Education with a Vocal/Choral emphasis from Samford University (December 2008), and a Bachelor of Music degree in Church Music from Samford University (December 2006).
     
    While at Samford, Mr. Bonner performed with a wide variety of ensembles including the Samford University A Cappella Choir, the Orchestra, the “Bulldog” Marching Band, the Wind Ensemble, the Symphonic Band, the Brass Ensemble, the Brass Quintet, and the Trombone Choir. Mr. Bonner is a member of professional organizations such as the National Association of Music Educators (MENC), the Alabama Music Educators Association (AMEA), the Alabama Vocal Association (AVA), the American Choral Directors Association (ACDA), the Gordon Institute of Music Learning (GIML), and Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia. 

    Growing up as a resident of Buhl and having parents who are both retired teachers from this system, Mr. Bonner is extremely familiar with Tuscaloosa county and the excellence that its schools inspire.

    Mr. Bonner and his family are active members of Church of the Highlands (Tuscaloosa Campus) where he serves on the Dream Team as a vocalist for Highlands Worship.

    Mr. Bonner also serves as the Video Strategist and Director of Creative Content for Storyscape Creative.
