Education

   I attended Hamilton High School and graduated in 2002.  I attended college at the University of North Alabama and graduated in May 2009. 

Experience

   I began my teaching career in 2009.  I taught in Mississippi from 2009-2013.  I taught first and third grade.  My last year in first grade, I had the opportunity to teach a gender class of ALL girls. We were called the “Princess Room”.  Then 2013-2015 I had the opportunity to work in my home county, Marion County Alabama.  The first year I was the County ESL Teacher, where I served all students who were not fluent in speaking English.  In 2014, I was the Instructional Coach for Guin Elementary School.  Currently, I am teaching first grade at Taylorville Primary.  I absolutely love this school, and I am so excited to be here!

Bio

   I am originally from Hamilton, Alabama. My family and I moved to Tuscaloosa in August of 2015.  My husband, Vann, was transferred to Coca-Cola United Tuscaloosa from the West Alabama Sales Center.  Vann is a large store area manager for Coca-Cola.  We have two children, Kloe and Reece. Kloe attends Taylorville Primary and Reece attends Valley View Baptist Daycare. We are excited to be here in Tuscaloosa, and we love this school and community.
