Hello, Fellow Ironmen!
As principal of Holt High School for the last four years, I would like to say it has been a pleasure serving you! You have made my life so fulfilling by being able to make a difference in so many lives. We have the most caring staff-imaginable. That's why we are working so hard to continue on the path we were on... to continue your education for these last few weeks. We will provide you with the best distance learning education we can. I love you all and miss you all! We will get through this break from one another, because we are better together!
Week April 6th - April 10th
I can see your smiling faces, laughing, talking, joking as you walk down the halls. I see fingerprints on the glass. I see you snuggled up with books in the media center, some of you with devices plugged in, as the media center has become the new hang out spot. I enjoy the days when everyone seems happy and when you ask me if I am having a good day. No one loves you more than the staff at Holt High. I hope you can feel that you all hold a special place in our hearts. This senior class is special to me. They were ninth graders when I first came to Holt High School, and therefore will be my first full graduating class. I can't wait to see what you all become!
Week April 13th-April 17th
I hope all is well with each of you! By now, we are all settling into our new normal! Each day that goes by brings us closer to being back together as a Holt Family! Even though I'm sure you miss me lingering in the hallways, make the most of distance learning. Also, take more opportunities to talk with your family, I mean really talk, eat dinner together, watch a movie, try new hairstyles, and find a new hobby. I have even started cooking more! Today, we had ham, chicken, a loaded baked potato casserole, green beans, and my daughter tried a new recipe where you make an apple cobbler with cinnamon roll dough! It was "fantabulous". You should try it! Until the next letter... P. S. Continue to study!
