  • Today's General Annoucements: 

    1) Upcoming Band Meetings:

    • (UPDATED!) Tuesday, APRIL 23 - Disney Band Trip Meeting: all participants and a parent/guardian should be in attendance for this informational meeting about all things Disney Trip 6:30 pm in the BHS Bandroom.

     

    • Monday, April 29 - End-of-the-Year Band Banquet! At the bottom of the page, you can find the flyer with more info.
      • All students/parents that are currently active in band are welcome to attend the banquet.
      • You may still attend even if you did not pay to eat.

     

    • Tuesday, April 30, 6:30 pm in the BHS Bandroom- Marching Band Interest Meeting: all those who will be a student of BWHS in the 2019-2020 academic year who are interested in being a part of the Crimson Star Marching Band should come to this meeting! Info to be covered:

    2) Information about how to pay for the Six Flags trip can be found at the bottom of this page. If you did not turn in a form by the deadline, you can not opt in for the trip now.

    3) Congratualtions to the following students for earning a seat at either Allstate and/or District 5 Festival Bands from Allstate Auditions!

    4) If there is a problem with your child's instrument, our Gadsden music rep comes every Wednesday around 12:45 pm. If you need something fixed, please leave a note in your case of exactly what's wrong with it and let Ms. Gray know so that your instrument may be serviced that day. If you bought an Art's instrument, please let Ms. Gray know when you need a Art's rep to look at it (since it is most likely under warrenty with that particular company).

    5) Instructions on how to enter into your Charm's account and other information has been added to the "Files and Form" tab. Please take a moment to review that page and information provided.

    6) All students in Ms. Gray's ensembles (4th-7th period classes), need the following materials for class by Monday, August 13:

    • (1) 1in, Black 3-ring binder
    • Protective Sheets
    • Pencil Pouch
    • Pencil and highlighters

How to Pay for Six Flags Trip

(forms were due Friday, April 5, and no others will be added at this time)

    • If you signed up for the Six Flags Trip (and turned in the form to Ms. Gray), you may now start paying for the trip.
      • The amount for the trip is ($80.00); this gets you (1) ticket into Six Flags and a ride on the charter bus to and from Six Flags
      • checks can be made out to "Brookwood Middle School"
      • You may give Ms. Gray money, who will give it to Mr. Bowen.
    • Friends outside of band/high school students not in Ms. Gray's 4th-7th period classes/sibilings of band students are not allowed to opt into the trip (i.e. a ticket will not be bought for those listed before, and they will not be allowed to travel on the charter bus with the group).
