Education
I attended and graduated from Hillcrest High School right here in Tuscaloosa. From there, I attended Shelton State Community College before transferring to The University of Alabama to pursue a degree in elementary education. I graduated magna cum laude in December of 2015.
Experience
I have been working and volunteering at Taylorville Primary School since the spring of 2009. I started off working at the Extended Day program and volunteering with the P.E. department. In 2011, I became a regular substitute at TPS. In the summer of 2012, I also started to work at TPS's summer day camp. In the spring semester of 2016, I was hired to fill in for a kindergarten teacher here while she was on maternity leave. In April of 2016, I was hired as a first grade teacher at TPS for the following school year. I taught first grade for two years before moving up to second grade. Second grade is my FAVORITE grade and I am excited to be teaching it! I love Taylorville Primary School. It is like home to me and I can't imagine teaching anywhere else!
