Hi from the Counselor's Corner!
This is my second year as the counselor at Brookwood Middle School, and I am still so excited to be here! I am the 6th & 7th grade counselor. We do classroom guidance lessons about once a month. We discuss coping skills, organization, bullying, kindness, empathy, careers, and diversity-- just to name a few! We also meet with students individually. It is our goal to support the whole child emotionally, socially, and academically. I believe being proactive can help stop some problems before they even begin. I graduated from the University of Alabama with my Master's Degree in Counselor Education. I am a nationally certified counselor, and I am a member of the American School Counselor Association. I am truly passionate about what I do, and I genuinely care about every child that walks through our door at Brookwood Middle School. Please do not hesitate to e-mail, call, or stop by if there is anything I can do for you or your child. Feel free to also check out our Guidance page and Counselors' Blog for more information and resources. I am looking forward to another wonderful school year! Go Panthers!
