My name is Carla Moore and I am so excited to be the 7th and 8th Grade School Counselor at Brookwood Middle School! I have been an educator for over ten years. Last year was my first year at BMS and I am looking forward to another great school year. Both of my boys attended Brookwood Middle and High School. I am very proud to be a panther!

I look forward to working with each and every student to help them with their academic, social and emotional needs.  I will continuously strive to assist students, parents, teachers, and administrators in making BMS a wonderful experience for our children of today and leaders of tomorrow!

Our school creed, P-R-I-D-E fits perfectly into all aspects of school counseling. Students participate through guidance lessons that are taught each month about a different topic. Students show responsibility by learning their INOW username, password, and checking with their teachers for make-up work. Students show integrity when they see something and say something. Whether they are being bullied or see bullying, they should report the behavior. Students show dedication when they correct a behavior that they may or may not have been aware of. Being dedicated to learning from their mistakes is a lesson we can all improve on! Students show effort when they realize that they or a friend needs an intervention to change a behavior. By speaking up and asking for guidance shows a lot of effort in the type of relationships they want to create for themselves. After all, establishing healthy relationships is one of the most important things we will ever do in life!

If I can assist you in any way throughout the school year please feel free to call or email me.
