Hi all!

My name is Laura Strachan. I am so excited to start this new year! 

A little about me...

I attended the University of Alabama and graduated with an bachelor's degree in Early Childhood/Elementary Education as well as a master’s degree in Elementary Education.  After graduation, I worked as the intervention teacher for kindergarten, first, and second grade at The Alberta School of Performing Arts.  Two years ago, I joined the Westwood family teaching second grade; and last year, I made the move to Kindergarten! 

I am from north Alabama and moved to Tuscaloosa during my college years. My husband is from the Tuscaloosa area and we decided to make this wonderful city our home together.  During my free time, I love to read, watch football, travel, and spend time with my family.  I am a very family-oriented person, so I desire to make my classroom feel like a home and family for us this year! 

While so much about these times are uncertain, we will navgiate the unknowns together!  I am so excited to get to know another precious group of Kinders this year!
